Publishing your Personal Home Page using Netscape
Netscape 4 (Communicator) and Netscape 3 Gold have built-in HTML editors. To publish a page using
one of these editors, please follow the instructions below. If you have problems, you may wish to review the items covered in the

Publishing a Page with Netscape 4 (Communicator)
Once you have finished creating a page in the Communicator editor, choose Publish from the File menu. You
will see:

page title and filename are already specified. The rest of the information will need to enter looks like the screen shown above.)

In the box labeled "Page Title" type a name for your page.
- In the box labeled "HTML Filename" type the name of your page. If you name the page "index.html," it will be the
main home page of your site.
- In the box labeled "HTTP or FTP Location to publish to:" type ftp://jondoe@pages.cthome.net/docs/, where
"jondoe" is your SNET Internet login name.
- In the box labeled "User name" type your SNET Internet login name.
- In the box labeled "Password" type your SNET Internet password.
- OPTIONAL (not shown above): choose any additional files you would like to publish with this page (for example, images
displayed on the page) by clicking their names in the section labeled "Other file to include."
Click OK. Your page will be published to the Personal Home Pages server.
Publishing a Page with Netscape Gold 3
Once you have finished creating a page in the Netscape Gold editor, choose Publish from the File menu. You
will see:

- In the box labeled "Upload files to this location (FTP or HTTP):" type ftp://pages.cthome.net/docs/.
- In the box labeled "User name" type your SNET Internet login name.
- In the box labeled "Password" type your SNET Internet password.
- OPTIONAL (not shown above): choose any additional files you would like to publish with this page (for example, images
displayed on the page) by clicking their names in the section labeled "Local files."
Click OK. Your page will be published to the Personal Home Pages server.
